No-shows, DM bookings and manual reminders: why we built Rendora
Service businesses lose hours managing appointments by hand. We watched the problem up close, then built our own solution. Here is the story, and what it says about how we work.
The problem we kept seeing at real clients
Working with service businesses, especially in beauty, we saw the same scenario repeat itself. Booking requests come in through DMs, phone calls, sometimes personal texts. Someone copies them into a calendar. Reminders are sent by hand, whenever there is time. And when a client does not show up, the slot is lost with no warning and no recourse. Every step works on its own, but the whole thing rests on the memory and discipline of one already overloaded person.
What we built
Rather than recommend yet another generic tool, we built Rendora: a booking platform designed for service businesses. Online booking on the company's own page, staff scheduling, automated SMS reminders, and a client portal to view and reschedule appointments. Everything in one place, for salons, barbers, wellness and local services. The platform is live at rendora.ca.
What it changes, mechanically
We will not promise you a magic percentage. Here is what the tool changes in practice: a booking request no longer depends on someone being available to reply; a reminder always goes out, because it is automated; a client who has to cancel can do it themselves, which frees the slot instead of losing it; and the team schedule lives in one place, visible to everyone. Time spent managing messages becomes time spent serving clients.
What Rendora says about how we work
Rendora is not a showcase project. It is the demonstration of our method: observe a real operational problem, understand it from the inside, then build the system that solves it. Designing a booking platform means handling multi-tenant accounts, payments, notifications, time zones and a long list of edge cases. This is exactly the kind of complexity we take on when we build an internal application or a platform for a client.
